About Me

About Me

I’ve been a private studio voice teacher for over thirty-five years. I’ve also taught voice at the college/university level. My teaching philosophy is “Figure out what works for this individual student, because singing is not a one-size-fits-all sort of activity”.

I’m always reading and trying to understand the voice better. [CBC show=”y” country=”us”]As a member of NATS (National Association of Teachers of Singing) [/CBC]I attend master classes, workshops and conventions with leading teachers and voice scientists. Besides learning about new discoveries, I see varying ways to approach students, and I stay excited about working with singers. And, my own practicing and performing help me understand where you’re coming from and what you might need.

My students grow their performing skills with practice performances for each other and by participating in recitals and NATS auditions. We also work toward musical theater auditions and other opportunities.
